Will Munich get the Olympic bid for the Winter Olympics in 2018. Not according to Farmers in the town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, who refuse to surrender their land for the games. The land-use issues around the Olympics have always been a very controversial and hot argued issue in every place the event is held. A glorious global event often creates great grief for the locals.

If Munich does get the bid it would be the first city to host both the Winter and Summer Olympics.
