Lots of talk and rumors and new player introduction in the MLS now that the World Cup is over and the new season is bound to start for European Clubs. Herny coming to New York is definitely the biggest celebrity that is making its way across the pond, but a few others are to watch in the coming months.

Not that weird for German sports clubs, it’s still funny to consider the mighty FC Bayern playing basketball. Their short term goal is taking their team to the first division and growing a solid youth base of local players. Sounds good to me.
TweetWill Munich get the Olympic bid for the Winter Olympics in 2018. Not according to Farmers in the town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, who refuse to surrender their land for the games. The land-use issues around the Olympics have always been a very controversial and hot argued issue in every place the event is held. A glorious global event often creates great grief for the locals.
If Munich does get the bid it would be the first city to host both the Winter and Summer Olympics.
